Keating Muething & Klekamp Welcomes Rachel M. Pappenfus
Cincinnati (April 29, 2021) - The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) welcomes attorney Rachel M. Pappenfus, Associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group.
Rachel Pappenfus counsels both public and private employers on all aspects of benefits and compensation.
She assists clients with plan design (e.g., health and welfare, retirement, and Section 125 plans), plan administration, plan correction issues, and compliance with various federal and state laws and regulations. This includes the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). She prepares plan documents, and required plan notices and disclosures.
Prior to joining KMK Law, Pappenfus most recently worked for a benefits consulting firm, advising clients on health and welfare plan compliance. Previously, she was also an associate for a national law firm where she gained experience in all areas of employee benefits, labor and employment law.
Pappenfus earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2015, where she was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. She earned her M.A. from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2010, and her B.S. from Wright State University, magna cum laude, in 2008. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.
