Biography
Claire focuses her practice on estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, business succession planning, and administration of decedent’s trusts and estates. She strives to develop estate plans that are not only comprehensive and sophisticated but also practical and easy to understand.
Claire’s broad experience spans all aspects of estate planning, including tax planning, premarital planning, probate avoidance, asset protection, and business succession strategies.
In her work with the Family Office Services practice, Claire tailors solutions to meet the complex needs of ultra-high-net-worth families. She designs plans to secure and protect assets for future generations, working closely with clients to align their vision for managing unique assets—such as family businesses or vacation homes—after their lifetime. Claire oversees the preparation of gift and estate tax returns, ensuring the strategic use of exemptions and elections to maximize benefits for children and grandchildren. She also advises families on how to incorporate charitable giving to reduce or eliminate estate taxes, while fostering a family legacy of philanthropy by encouraging the involvement of future generations in charitable efforts.
Claire is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida, and counsels clients concerning Florida residency.
Prior to joining Keating Muething & Klekamp, Claire served as a sole practitioner (2003-2005), as an associate at Drew & Ward Co. L.P.A. (1997-2003), and as an associate at Dinsmore & Shohl (1995-1997).
