Biography
Richard C. Spoor practices in the Real Estate Group with an emphasis on advising public and private clients on complex real estate development financing transactions.
Richard advises public entities, underwriters, and private clients on economic development projects, public finance transactions, tax incentives, and public private partnerships. Richard has served as bond and special counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and purchaser’s counsel for both public entities and private clients in connection with the issuance of both tax-exempt and taxable municipal debt.
Richard’s real estate practice includes advising private clients on matters of land use and zoning as well as general municipal law.
Prior to joining KMK, Richard served as an Assistant City Solicitor in the Economic Development Section of the City of Cincinnati’s Law Department. Richard earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2014, and his B.A. from Thomas More College in 2011.

What do you enjoy about being an attorney?
Being an attorney presents daily challenges and always forces me to learn new things. I enjoy being intellectually challenged on a daily basis and the opportunity to work cooperatively in the transactional environment.
How do you spend quality time with your family?
My wife, kids, and myself enjoy being outdoors and will often go hiking at nearby parks, visit the Zoo, or simply spend the day in the yard.
What is your favorite vacation spot? Why?
Our favorite vacation spot is the beach, we love being near the ocean. My wife, kids, and myself try to get to beach a couple of times a year.
