Biography
Kris Milner practices in the firm's Real Estate and Environmental Groups where he represents public and private companies and municipalities to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations. Kris also counsels clients through voluntary remediation and Brownfield redevelopment, including under Ohio’s Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and Kentucky’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program.
Kris also represents clients, both developers and contractors in the construction industry to counsel clients through contract negotiations and mechanic’s lien issues. Additionally, Kris represents clients in the renewable energy industry, providing a range of services including land-use matters and alternative financing opportunities.
Prior to joining KMK Law, Kris served as a civil and mining engineering consultant and most recently was an area environmental manager in the mining and manufacturing industries. With over a decade of experience in these roles, Kris was responsible for ensuring facility compliance with state and federal environmental standards, including, but not limited to, laws set forth by the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, due diligence activities, and counseling others through permitting processes.
