Keating Muething & Klekamp Elects Four New Partners
The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) is pleased to announce that it has elected four new partners: Matthew M. Allen, Andrew J. Ferguson, Thomas W. Langevin, and Collin L. Ryan.
Matthew M. (Matt) Allen focuses his practice on tort and complex commercial litigation matters. He has experience counseling clients and litigating a broad range of matters involving product liability, automobile negligence, breach of contract, and commercial disputes in state and federal courts. He also has experience representing owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in construction and environmental related disputes. Allen represents clients in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. Allen earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, cum laude, in 2016. He earned his B.A. from Xavier University, cum laude, in 2013. Allen is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.
Andrew J. Ferguson practices in the firm's Real Estate Group where he represents both businesses and individuals with a wide range of real estate and general business law matters, including leasing, acquisitions, sales, and tax deferred exchanges. Ferguson assists clients with the development of residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use properties, including the structuring and closing of new markets and historic tax credit financing transactions. He has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting retail, office, and industrial leases, as well as the development and management of condominium and homeowners’ associations. Ferguson is a licensed title insurance agent and a member of Riverbend Commercial Title Services where he helps purchasers and lenders with title insurance policies as well as closing and escrow services. Ferguson earned his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University, in 2013. He earned his B.S. from Miami University in 2010. Ferguson is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Tennessee.
Thomas W. (TW) Langevin practices in the Business Representation & Transactions Group where he assists public and private companies in the federal income tax and business planning areas. Langevin works with clients on a wide variety of federal, state, and local tax matters including income tax, corporate tax, partnership tax, S Corporation tax, and tax-exempt matters. Langevin primarily advises clients in matters relating to business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, operational tax issues, reorganizations, tax-efficient restructurings, and tax-efficient exit strategies. Additionally, Langevin has extensive experience advising companies, founders, and investors with compliance and planning opportunities involving IRC Section 1202 qualified small business stock (QSBS). Langevin frequently serves as outside general counsel to private equity firms and their portfolio companies where he advises them through fund formations, negotiations with portfolio investments, and fund operations and dissolutions. Langevin obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2017, and earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2016. He also graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Arkansas State University, magna cum laude, in 2013. Langevin is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Arkansas.
Collin L. Ryan is an experienced litigator who represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country, both at the trial and appellate level. Ryan’s commercial litigation practice spans a broad range of disputes, including antitrust, business torts, contract disputes, class action and multi-district litigation, intellectual property, product liability and mass torts, shareholder and corporate governance, securities, and general corporate litigation. Ryan also focuses a significant portion of his practice on False Claims Act (qui tam) litigation, where he has represented clients in numerous False Claims Act cases around the country. He has extensive experience representing parties in FCA cases involving complex and significant fraud across a variety of industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, and military defense. Ryan has also counseled and advised clients regarding active government investigations, including subpoenas and civil investigative demands issued by the Department of Justice. Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, summa cum laude, in 2016. He earned his miniMBA from Miami University in 2021 and his B.A. from Miami University in 2012. Ryan is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
