Keating Muething & Klekamp Hires Five New Associates
Cincinnati (December 14, 2020) - The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law®) has recently hired five new associates: Taylor M. Beckham, Emma L. Compton, Christian D. Gateskill, Michael W. Goldman, and Carson E. Miller.
Taylor M. Beckham is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, where she assists individuals and companies with a wide range of litigation matters and dispute resolution. Beckham attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she graduated with honors and served as a Corporate Law Fellow (2017-2020). She worked for both the University of Cincinnati Law Review and the Intellectual Property and Computer Law Journal as an Associate Editor. While in school, Beckham held a judicial externship at the Ohio First District Court of Appeals for Judge Penelope R. Cunningham. Additionally, she worked as a legal extern for in-house counsel at an S&P 600 company. Prior to attending law school, Beckham worked in Human Resources, specializing in risk management and conflict resolution. She earned her B.A. in English from Xavier University in 2014, graduating cum laude. Beckham is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
Emma L. Compton practices in the firm’s Business Representation & Transactions and Real Estate Groups, where she helps clients with general commercial real estate matters and assists private and publicly held companies with a wide variety of corporate transactions. Compton earned her law degree from the University of Dayton Law School, magna cum laude, in 2020, and was a member of the University of Dayton Law Review where she served as a Staff Writer and as a member of the Editorial Board as Outside Articles Editor. While in law school, Compton gained experience as a Summer Associate at KMK Law, Legal Extern for the Honorable Judge Walter H. Rice, and Legal Intern at the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to law school, she worked with the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department as a Compliance Intern. She earned her B.A. in Sports Administration from The University of Cincinnati, summa cum laude, in 2017. Compton is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
Christian D. Gateskill is a member of the firm's Business Representation & Transactions Group. He helps a wide range of clients navigate general corporate, financial, and securities matters. Gateskill earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2020. While in law school, he participated in the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic where he advised entrepreneurs through various stages of business development and interned at The David J. Joseph Company in the Company’s legal department. He also held a Summer Associate position in Cincinnati with a national law firm, and gained experience as a Summer Associate at KMK Law. Gateskill is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
Michael W. Goldman practices in the firm's Business Representation & Transactions Group, where he counsels individuals and businesses on broad range of general corporate, financial, and securities transactions. Goldman earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2020, summa cum laude. While in law school, he served as FC Cincinnati’s Manager of Player Compliance and Finance where he advised the club on salary cap strategy, player contracts, transfer contracts, roster finances, and the MLS Roster Rules and Regulations. Goldman gained experience as a Legal Intern for FC Cincinnati as well as with a Summer Associate position with a large firm in Cincinnati. Prior to law school, he worked for JP Morgan Chase & Co. as a Financial Analyst. He earned his B.B.A. from Ohio University, summa cum laude, in 2016. Goldman is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
Carson E. Miller is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, focusing on complex commercial and general corporate litigation matters. Miller earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. While in school, Miller served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Michael R. Barrett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He also wrote as a Student Contributor for Judge Marianna Bettman’s blog, Legally Speaking Ohio. Prior to law school, Miller worked in campaign finance and development for several political campaigns and organizations in Ohio. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University in 2013, graduating magna cum laude. Miller is admitted to practice law in Ohio.
